Angie’s Curves – Speed Bump Blooopers

In Crash & Burn, Event Coverage

Live-streaming video on the internet is a pretty complex technological undertaking, requiring several cameras, on-the-fly editing, and cables to connect the whole undertaking to the internet.

The layout of the road at Angie’s Curves made it necessary to run a cable across the road somewhere, so the cables were placed underneath a protective plastic speed bump at the slowest point on the track.

Unfortunately, that speed bump was actually really hard to skateboard over, so several people slammed hard in the first practice run. Wisely, the bump was quickly removed and the wires rerouted, but not before we got this hilariously brutal footage.
